The soprano Sandra Hurtado ‐ Ròs and the guitarist Jean‐François Ruiz began their collaboration in 2010 with a series of concerts dedicated to Spanish folk songs, with compositions of Manuel Oltra, Joaquin Rodrigo, Manuel de Falla and personal adaptations of Federico Garcia Lorca and Antonio Machado’s works. In this duet, Jean‐François Ruiz's brilliant guitar and the voice of Sandra Hurtado‐Ròs, with its touches of cante jondo, invites us to appreciate the ardour of the Andalusian lyrics, to which the singer, born in Seville, has dedicated several recordings.
